Listen!

I just don't understand why children just don't listen - I don't get it - I just said something and they do the exact opposite knowing fully that the consequence is not going outside. My daughter did it theis morning too - I told her to put her socks on and she just sat there putting a know in her sock - i don't get it - for a bright girl I just don't get it - she doesn't listen and is a little off at time.
